Small Joys: 100 Days of Flowers

Hello,

I'm Malaika Ross, a botanical artist painting daily through a 100-day practice.

This summer I'm beginning a new body of work: a small botanical painting every day for 100 days, in colors chosen to feel like warmth and repair. Each piece is made in about an hour, built from ink, acrylic and whatever is blooming that day.

I started this practice to keep painting on new terms after breast cancer surgery left me with neuropathy in my fingers and it's become one of the small joys of my day. A quiet hour with color, texture and whatever the garden hands me next.

Begin your botanical observation practice with a printable art print and a seasonal Field Note from my studio.
